Nuria Rivera she/her/hers
Mathematics (Middle & High School)
Prior to joining Tremont School, Nuria Rivera taught High School Math at Lawrence High School where she was recognized for her empathy and engaging instruction. She began her education career as an educational instructor for adults and became an academic coordinator for a program for adolescents with diverse learning profiles. Graduating with her Masters degree in Public Administration, Nuria’s dedication to children and families has been a lifelong pursuit. She has advocated for the well-being of vulnerable children and served as a police officer in Nassau County prior to becoming a Family Specialist, which ignited her passion further and eventually led her to pursue education as a meaningful and impactful career path. What resonates most with Nuria about Tremont is our dedication to a personalized approach that celebrates our students as individuals and as unique parts of our greater community. She brings an exceptional array of experiential learning and practical application experience to her teaching and looks forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in our community.
